In the 2nd Regional Event for Trade Facilitation & eBusinessin Iran in reply to the question of Mr. Hemmat Veyci, Mr. Yann Louis Duval mentioned that in case there is no candidate for being host for the AFACT meeting, one government can write a letter to ESCAP for being host of the AFACT meeting in Thailand.He added that by accepting some expenses from participants, ESCAP can hold the meeting. In the other hand the ESCAP will act as a host except that the participants need to pay for the foods/breaks during the meetings.The point here is that one Government should write the request and not AFACT chair.

  15. AFACT Registration as an NGOhttp://csonet.org/?menu=83 AFACT started its registration in ECOSOC as an NGO for consultative status. All organizations that apply for registration in ECOSOC should attest that it has been in existence for at least two years as at the date of receipt of the application by the Secretariat". They should provide a copy of the registration paper.
