  1. 1. ‘Tracked changes’ is a feature in Word which, when switched on, records and displays the • changes made to a document by reviewers of the document. • 2. Comments do not record or indicate changes made to the document. They are better used for making annotations, suggestions or adding queries for the author or reviewer of the document. • 3. Insertions, deletions and changes in formatting • 4. Choose the view of the document without markup (in the ‘Final’ view), add his comments and then change the view of the document back to show the markup (Final with markup). • 5. Amanda and Sibu will show as separate reviewers. In other words you can see and review both of their suggested changes or just one of them at a time. The best therefore would be to review just Amanda’s changes and reject all of them. You can then review the remaining track changes made by Sibu and accept all these suggested changes. • 6. No, neither of these options will physically remove all the track changes from the document. If you turn off the track changes feature, you can edit the document without additional track changes showing, but the pre-existing track changes will still be displayed. Choosing to view the ‘final’ version of the document, simply shows what the document would look like if all the track changes were to be accepted. This does not remove the existing tracked changes or comments from the document. It just allows you to view the document without all the strikethroughs in text and underlining etc. You need to accept or reject the changes to remove them from the document as opposed to just ‘hiding’ them.
