GML Services • Grunigen Medical Library (GML) – UCIMC, Bldg 22A http://grunigen.lib.uci.edu • Contains resources in clinical practice • Reference • Ask a Medical Librarian service, see http://grunigen.lib.uci.edu/ask-a-medical-librarian.html • 11 am – 6 pm, Mon - Fri • Workshops http://grunigen.lib.uci.edu/instructional-workshops.html • Residency sessions (EBM expert searching) • Classes held in GML ITC Classroom • Interlibrary Loan • Document Delivery Services • Science Library – Irvine campus (science, engineer, medicine ) • Langson Library – Irvine campus (humanities, soc sc, business )

  4. GML Library Hours Regular hours: • Monday - Thursday 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. • Friday 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. • Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. • Sunday 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Borrowing Privileges • All new and continuing residents are eligible for library cards. • A library card or "library-activated" UCIMC badge must be presented in order to check out library materials. • Loan periods: • books – 90 days • journals – 1 wk • CD/Audiocassettes -- 1 wk • DVD/Videocassettes -- 1 wk • Laptops – 24 hrs/weekends • PDAs – 3 days

Library Card & Personal Identification Number (P.I.N.) • Having a library card or "library activated" UCIMC badge & PIN will allow you: • to check out & renew materials & place a hold on library items • to access your own circulation record on My ANTPAC • to place interlibrary loan requests electronically

  7. Computers in GML • High speed PC and Mac workstations • Computer classroom • Media equipment (color scanners and printers; DVD, CD and cassette players; DVD burners; and headphones) • Multimedia production with video editing software • Wireless access • LBVA access • MacBook and PC laptop lending • PDA services • Videoconferencing services • IT consulting services For more information, contact (714) 456-5585

  8. Copying and Printing • In order to print or photocopy, purchase a card through the card dispenser. • These cards can also be used at other UCI Libraries on the Irvine campus.

  9. Get a UCInetID! • Residents need a UCInetID and password to access to all UCI electronic resources from home. • Residents are assigned a UCInetID after they are given an employee ID and entered into the Payroll Personnel System • To activate your UCInetID, see http://www.nacs.uci.edu/ucinetid/
