European Mobility Week (EMW) Local authority based (normally) Campaign to encourage public awareness of the need to act against pollution caused by motorised traffic Centred on 3 types of measures: encourage the use of alternative forms of transport raise awareness show the area another ‘light’ thanks in particular to reduced motorised traffic in restricted areas

  4. What should EMW include? • Organisation of a week of awareness raising activities • Implementation of at least one permanent measure which contributes to modal shift • “In Town Without My Car!” car-free day event – Wednesday 22nd September
