  1. CONGRATULATIONSon achieving a place onBA [Hons] in Primary Education … the real work starts here!!!!!

  2. Subject Knowledge Support Site

  3. Commendations • As an NQT I am grateful for the wide range of teaching experience I was able to gain at YSJ. Whereas some of my other NQT colleagues in Luton have had the experience of 1 or 2 schools, I have been into 5 different classes in 4 different schools in my training alone. To add to this I also had the opportunity to study in the USA, allowing me the opportunity to visit schools and teach some lessons out there as well. • The lecturers are all friendly and experienced in the teaching world, drawing on their experiences to help you through the course and to prepare you for what to expect. This includes strategies for teaching EAL children, how to be a subject coordinator and generally what to expect in the classroom. • Many of the lectures incorporate up to date training of current legislations and frameworks, allowing you to go into your first job with as good as, if not better knowledge of the current strategies, (especially ICT) than many experienced teachers have.

  4. A Headteacher’s perspective • June 2010 • Rebecca has made an outstanding impact on our school; she is extremely hard-working, has an up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum and takes part in school life as if she has never been anywhere else- a wonderful appointment!
