  3. Coal • Coal is mostly used to generate heat or electricity. • Coal is a non-renewable energy source • Coal generates 90% of our heat and electricity • Coal is burned to heat water that creates steam. The steam moves the turbine which generates electricity

  4. Wind • Wind is a renewable energy resource • It is used to generate electricity and heat • The blades capture the wind’s energy, spinning a generator in the windmill. The generator creates electricity.
