  1. Warm up 01-21-14 • Question: What is a solution? • Answer: • A mixture that is homogenous at the molecular level (often liquid) • Goal: I will observe combustion reactions.

ELEMENT OF THE DAY • 49 – Indium – In • Indium is named for the indigo color in its spectral lines. • Indium-tin oxide is a transparent conductor of electricity that is used in LCD TVs and computer monitors, as it lets individual pixels light up. • Indium metal is soft and can be scratched with your fingernail, and when in rods it “cries” when you bend it, as internal crystals break and rearrange.
