WAAAUB Chapters CommitteeWhat was achieved? • Conducted three alumni chapters regional meetings in 2009 (NA regional meeting, Bahrain and Jordan regional meeting) • Recommended to WAAAUB Board several amendments to the WAAAUB bylaws • Developed The Distinguished AUB alumni award and the Outstanding alumni chapter award

  4. WAAAUB First GCC Forum in Bahrain November 20-21, 2008

  5. The Outstanding Alumni chapter award granted to Dubai Chapter (May 2009)

  6. The Distinguished AUB alumni award granted to ITF team (May 2009)

  7. Chapters Committee Proposed Strategy (2009-2010) • Working with chapters in planning and execution of regional meetings depending on geographical location and in agreement with chapter heads • Individual chapters visits to chapters who ask for support from the Committee • Revitalizing existing dormant chapters • Following-up on newly established chapters • Assessing geographic areas where chapters should exist; working with alumni to encourage new chapters • Collecting materials relating to criteria for Outstanding Alumni Chapter Award in 2010; preparing nomination(s)

Strategy Cont’d • Coordinating with the Outreach Committee efforts to update alumni database from chapters’ resources • When available, sharing news of alumni chapters’ events and activities with Outreach committee, other relevant WAAAUB bodies and MainGate editors • Review the alumni award selection criteria • Involve chapter heads in the work of this committee • Develop programs that strengthen the committee relation with chapters in Lebanon and rest of the world
