  2. CATALYST 5 MINUTES Count the atoms for each element on each side of the equation. Then write if it’s balanced or not. H2 + Cl2 > HCl NH3 + O2 > N2 + H2O

  3. CATALYST 4 MINUTES • Count the atoms for each element on each side of the equation. Then write if it’s balanced or not. • H2 + Cl2 > HCl • NH3 + O2 > N2 + H2O

  4. CATALYST 3 MINUTES Count the atoms for each element on each side of the equation. Then write if it’s balanced or not. H2 + Cl2 > HCl NH3 + O2 > N2 + H2O

  5. CATALYST 2 MINUTES Count the atoms for each element on each side of the equation. Then write if it’s balanced or not. H2 + Cl2 > HCl NH3 + O2 > N2 + H2O

  6. CATALYST 1 MINUTE • Count the atoms for each element on each side of the equation. Then write if it’s balanced or not. • H2 + Cl2 > HCl • NH3 + O2 > N2 + H2O

  7. TIME’S UP!!!!!

  8. Count the atoms for each element on each side of the equation. Then write if it’s balanced or not. H2 + Cl2 > HCl NH3 + O2 > N2 + H2O

  9. AGENDA • Catalyst • Types of Chemical reactions videos • Take Spring Pre-Assessment

  10. ANNOUCEMENTS • There is a quiz on Friday • If your name is on the board, you may not participate in labs.

  11. TODAY’S OBJECTIVE • You’ll identify the different types of chemical reactions.

  12. Video links • 1st one: Just sit back and enjoy the show. • Flintstones: 4 types of reactions 3 minutes • Do you want to see that one again so you understand the concept? • 2nd one: Record information on your worksheet. Steve Splangler: 5 types of reactions ( 7 minutes)

  13. Assessment Procedure • For question 8, students will start at the beginning of the classroom in fours and make their way to the back four stations. Once a student is done, the next person to his/her right will go next. • Work on word-search when done.
