Standards

  • This international exchange standard has been designed to enable the transfer of Digital Geographic Information (DGI) between geographic information systems.

  • This documentation now forms a baseline from which both system developers and national survey organizations can plan their development and production activities.

  • Research into all aspects of DGI is continuing within the Digital Geographic Information Working Group (DGIWG) forum and any subsequent potential changes will be subject to formal change control procedures
