Discover the rich traditions of the Cherokee tribe, who lived in southeastern villages constructed from wood, mud, and cowhide. Women contributed to society by wearing deerskin garments while men constructed these homes. Their diet mainly consisted of vegetables like corn, squash, and beans, which they grew rather than hunted. The roles of men and women were distinct, with men focusing on construction and women as community leaders. The Cherokee crafted unique artworks, including canoes and masks, and expressed their culture through vibrant traditions.
