Economy • In the 1960s, Vietnam war affected the US economy • This was a bad impact, we had to start making women do a man’s labor • In fact, it became so bad, that is actually became dangerous to work in a factory that made weapons. • There had been many reports of grenades blowing up when they were being made

4. Culture • In the 60’S, the USA had many new ideas on hair styles • They often had spikes flying all over the place • They also had more and more kinds of music

5. Fashion and Fads • In the 60s, the US had many new fashions, none of which we have today. • They had a lot of tie dye • All the people had on headbands and tie dye shirts

6. Slang • The 60s was a new effort in words! • People, particularly kids came up with slang, new words • These words were mainly taken from other words just shortened

7. Interesting Facts • James Bond can out in the sixties, it was a big hit! • There was a war during this time • I liked looking at all the slang like “Groovy” • Minimum wage was one dollar
