Important tour info:Documents • Passports & Visas • Passports are required on every EF tour • Leave a photo copy at home, bring one with you and email a digital copy to yourself. • Prescriptions: Ensure medication is in its original container and bring a copy of the prescription. • Parental Authorization Forms (if applicable)

  5. Important tour info:Money • Currency exchange • Protect your money • Tipping • Spending money Tip • Don’t forget to call your bank prior to departure to alert them that you may be using your ATM or credit card abroad to help avoid security holds.

  6. Important tour info:Packingtips • Place toiletries in your checked luggage - and your tooth brush in your carry on. Any liquids in your carry on must meet airport security’s requirements. • Keep in mind that some religious sites require appropriate attire (i.e., shoulders and arms must be covered, no shorts, short skirts or flip-flops.) • Pack to dress in layers for changes in weather

  7. Important tour info:Packingtips • Pack lightly. You will be responsible for carrying your bag. Leave room for souvenirs! • Plan your packing with your friends/roomates to cut down on items that can be shared • Bring comfortable walking shoes • It’s okay to wear the same thing twice! Tip • You will receive a pocket guide prior to departure which contains a handy packing list to ensure you have everything you’ll need.

Important tour info:Your flight • Your Group Leader will provide you with your flight information within 75 days prior to departure. • Once you know the airline(s) you will be flying, check their luggage restrictions prior to departure to avoid any fees due to oversized/overweight luggage • Ensure you are aware of your group’s meeting time and location for departure day

  9. Important tour info:Preparing for departure • Check your flight online prior to heading to the airport or group meeting point. If you notice any discrepancies contact your Group Leader. • Once you have arrived, notify your Group Leader, then: • Check in as a group • Proceed through customs (in some cases, you will clear customs at your destination) Tip Remember to rest and relax on the plane. Once you arrive, your Tour Director will meet you and your adventure begins!

  10. What to expect on tour:Hotels • EF uses only superior tourist-class hotels with clean, comfortable rooms and private bathrooms. Some hotels may not have an elevator. • You will share a room with two to three other students of the same gender from your group or another group travelling with you • Rooms have single beds and/or shared double beds • Room styles vary among destinations, so you may room with someone in one city, but not in the next.

  11. What to expect on tour:Food • Travelling is a great opportunity to sample a variety of cuisines. Remember, food might be different than what you’re used to. Be adventurous and try something new! • The included breakfast generally consists of cereals, breads, juice, tea and coffee • Lunch is your opportunity to make your own culinary discoveries • Dinner is provided and is a nutritious balance of familiar dishes and local favorites Tip Ensure to discuss any dietary restrictions with your Group Leader prior to departure.

What to expect on tour:Staying connected • If bringing your smartphone on tour, contact your carrier to determine how to avoid expensive roaming charges. • EF will provide a 5 minute international calling card that can be topped up before you leave with additional phone credit • Share your photos on facebook.com/EFtoursCanadaand use #ImWithEF when tweeting to join the global conversation with other EF travellers and your friends/family at home
