Recreation Therapist • Perform responsible work in planning, implementing, and leading a program of leisure services for citizens with mental, physical, emotional, and developmental disabilities. • Duties include assessing the needs of individuals with mental and physical disabilities to develop recreational opportunities; meeting with caretakers and guardians to plan appropriate programs to meet client needs; developing classes; desinging and delivering therapeutic activities, and documenting activities of such. • Assist with special programs, such as Special Olympics and other workshops; serves on various committees with interest in persons with disabilities
Recreation Therapist Continued… • Special Requirements • Experience working with clients with diverse disabilities and leading recreational activities • Certification as licensed recreation therapist in the state of North Carolina • Education/Experience • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in recreational therapy or related field • Possession of a valid NC driver’s license • Salary Range • Hiring Rate:$34,338~Midpoint:$42,923~Maximum: $51,507
Custodian • Performs responsible unskilled work in the care of cleaning of City buildings and facilities • Work consists of cleaning public buildings; maintaining cleaning supplies and inventories; performing limited repair and ground maintenance work
Custodian Continued… • Special Requirements • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of High School or GED. • Some knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment; ability to understand and follow simple oral and written directions • Ability to perform manual work • Possession of a valid NC driver’s license • Salary Range • Hiring Rate:$21,081~Midpoint:$26,352~Maximum: $31,622
