Description of Program Blood Drive LHU host 4 blood drives a year and collects over 600 pints per year. The entire Lock Haven University community works together to help, promote, volunteer, and give. It has turned into a tradition and the students believe it is an important way to help others by giving of themselves. The staff and students from the Residence Halls, Greek Affairs, Community Service Office, and Athletics work together to make the event a huge success. Each of the 8 resident halls sign up an average of 15 students. Over the years there have been competitions to encourage donations, but it has become such an important tradition that the competitions are no longer necessary.
