  5. Itinerary Thursday Aug 15 • Depart Hobart 1:25PM (VA705 HBA/BNE) • Arrive Brisbane 4PM • Check in Hotel 5PM • Depart Hotel for Chermside Shopping Centre 6:00PM • Dinner at Chermside Shopping Centre 6:30PM • Students in free-dress • 8:30PM bus back to accommodation

Itinerary Friday Aug 16 • Breakfast 6:30 • Depart for Wynnum 7:30AM (students in PE uniform) • Rehearsal: 8:30-11:30 • Bus to Manly Esplanade (5 min) fish and chips for lunch • 12:30 bus to Manly West State Primary School • 1PM-2PM rehearsal/ combined rehearsal • 2PM-3PM concert • 3:30 afternoon tea • 4PM bus to Eat Street 5PM-7PM, eat and listen to • 7PM bus back to accommodation

Itinerary Saturday Aug 17 • Breakfast 6:30AM • Depart for QCMF 7:30AM (Students in Full-school uniform) • QCMF and Performances - Clarinet Ensemble 8:42AM, Concert Band 10:18AM • Lunch at QCMF • Depart QCMF for accommodation 1:30PM • Free time (swim?) and walk to South Bank at 4PM for dinner • Les Mis’ at QLD Con (7:30PM) • Depart for accommodation from QLD Con 10PM

  8. Itinerary Sunday Aug 18 • Breakfast 6AM • Depart for Mass at 7AM (students in full-school uniform) • Mass at Goold Hall, Villanova College 7:30AM • Lunch at Mt. Coo-tha (students change to free-dress/PE) • Depart for Brisbane airport 1:00PM • Flight at 4:20 (VA706 BNE/HBA) • Arrive Hobart at 7:10PM

What to Bring? • Your instrument • PE uniform with Band T-Shirt (Hobart airport) • Budget for 6 meals – food vans/take-away (breakfast is covered) • Snack for day 1 • Plain clothes for 2-3 days – warm to hot weather and school appropriate free dress • Hat (school cap) • Full School Uniform for QCMF • Swimmers • Medication (puffers, travel sickness meds) • Money – purchase lunch and dinner on all days • Mobile phone (there will be phone-free times and no calls after 9PM)

  11. What Not to Bring • Sweets, lollies, candy within reason (chewing gum for flight only) • Laptops and tablets • Too many clothes or heavy cold weather gear • Sharp objects, flammable liquids etc. for flights • Other valuables

  12. Packing • One small to medium suitcase or bag • Small instruments can be securely packed into a good suitcase or taken on as carry-on • Larger instruments (trombone, baritone, tenor, basses) will go in a check-in luggage • Backpack • Water bottle • Liquids, cosmetics etc. must be in check-in luggage (Valve oil)

  13. Medication • All medication must be in the original packaging with the student name on it and dosage clearly indicated. • Students with asthma or anaphylaxis can carry their own medication but anything else will be held by teachers(John Keenan)

  14. Consent2Go • New Risk Management system being trialed and implemented • Please, update information requested and respond to the permission slip
