  4. Identifying opportunities • Check out- relevant publications - Professional journals - National/Local papers - Notice boards - Web sites - Job fairs -----Let people know ginnycolwell@blueyonder.co.uk

  5. Have the right attitude • Show that you are- positive and solution focused take responsibility • Include others in working out solutions to problems- be seen as a team leader ginnycolwell@blueyonder.co.uk

  6. Do your job well! • Manage time • Work to deadlines • Set and achieve goals • Attend to detail ginnycolwell@blueyonder.co.uk

  7. Raise your profile Show you are different • Network • Get a mentor • Initiate and lead a project • Publish • Present- speak/poster • Scholarship ginnycolwell@blueyonder.co.uk

Be active in all areas of self development • Show that you are a life long learner • Volunteer for development opportunities- whether it be managing a project or attending a committee. •  Join professional forums and actively participate in them • Learn from feedback- IPR/Clinical supervision • Share your learning ginnycolwell@blueyonder.co.uk
