Economic Activities • AGRICULTURE - One of the most important branches in Argentina economy is agriculture • LIVESTOCK - Argentina beef, valued worldwide due to its quality and taste, accounts for a 10 per cent of the exports • INDUSTRY - After suffering serious crises, today it faces the need of renewal and technological change in order to be competitive. • FISHING - For Argentina economy, fishing is an important source of income with a great future ahead. • MINNING -Argentina has a large mining stockpile and important power resources, but operation at a large scale is still an unachieved goal • Transportation - have started to gain a great significance in Argentina economy.

Travel Tips • Entry Requirements - A passport is all that's required of most visitors -although Australians and New Zealanders do need visas.  Renewable tourist visas are issued at airports and borders, • and are good for 90 days. • Vaccines - Vaccines are not required to enter Argentina. • Currency - The local currency is the Argentine Peso. At the time of this writing, it had a 1 to 1 ratio with the US dollar. • Language - Spanish is spoken everywhere, though many Argentines also speak the language of their heritage.

THE ARGENTINE TERRITORY • Geographical –Argentina is located in Southern South America, bordering the South Atlantic Ocean, between Chile and Uruguay • Climate - One of the most outstanding features of the Argentine territory is its variety of climates: humid, dry, tropical heat or vital cold, through different kinds of mild climates. Nothing remains outside the possibilities • Hydrographic - A large number of rivers which are, for the most part, navigable, traverse the country. Some of these are extremely important in hydroelectric terms.
