  3. What are National School Norms? This information “ranks” our school by comparing the average score of our students to the average score of students in other schools across the nation that take the IOWA tests. So, if we score 98 on the national school norm in a given area, our average student score ranked in the 98th percentile compared to all of the other schools. Note that this data was not made available to us for all test categories / test years.

  13. What are National Student Norms? This information shows the average score of our students. For example, if our national student norm was 80, this is the average score of all of our students at that grade level at our school. That is, our average student scored in the 80th percentile compared to every other child in the nation that took the test. So, our average child would have had a score of 80 on the report sent home.
