  1. San Jose state University Mechanical Engineering Department ME265 Homework #2 – Due Wed.Feb. 19 Spring 2014 1 – Reproduce the screwdriver shown below, using a parametric modeler. Print out the rendered isometric view in color.

  2. 2 - The conceptual design of an attachment for a vacuum cleaner is shown below. Create the object. Render and print the model in color, orient it as shown below.

  3. 3– Create a hollow handle for a hair dryer. The handle consists of six surfaces, see the figure below. Use the preliminary design provided (next page) to create the surfaces. The grip should be hollow, use a the wall thickness of .125 inch (1/8). Instead of arcs, you may use a spline curve to form the indentation for the fingers to make the grip more comfortable. Print out all four 3D figures (figures 1 thru 4 as shown).

  7. 4– Reproduce the top hat shown below using a spline. Use .125 for the hat thickness. Render and print out an isometric view.
