  3. Goals • Show recruiters high competency level • Create beginnings of career correspondence portfolio • Create a solid, fully-developed resume suitable for networking

  4. Overall requirements • Project must have all 3 parts: cover letter, thank you letter, recommender resume • All must be error free • Letters must be in standard business format • Work must be original

  5. Part 1: Cover Letter • One page • Error-free • May ask for job or informational interview • Include well developed paragraphs • Present entire letter

  6. Part 2: Thank-you letter • Error-free, one page • Standard business format (handwritten notes are for social situations) • Extra information added

  7. Part 3: Networking Recommender Resume • Expanded version of resume • Around 2 pages in length • Contain all standard resume divisions including objective statement and references • Additional description for all entries • Parallel construction in sections • Well-constructed grammatically • Error-free
