  2. JIRA Structure reformed( Japan Industries Association of Radiological Systems ) ISO/TC215 and JJ1017 Committees have been included in DICOM Committee

  3. ＪＩＲＡ／DICOM committee covers - Representative of DICOM standardization in Japan. - Join DICOM DSC and its global activities. - Help IHE-J in Connectathon. - Help HL7-J in bridging HL7/DICOM. - ISO/TC215 liaison for DICOM DSC.

  5. JIRA DICOM committee activities 2) DICOM publicity ( domestic ) - Translation of DICOM standards. Continuous effort since 2000. Most PS’s available in Japanese, but they are old. Started translation of latest PS’s. Dedicated FTP server soon available. - DICOM case study report. As a DICOM advisor, not a police.

JIRA DICOM committee activities 4) JJ1017 expansion WG ( domestic ) - current JJ1017 covers conventional exams. - many requests for RO standardization. - WG (re-)established by MD(JRS) / RT(JSRT) and JIRA. - JIRA to propagate JJ1017 in equipments, JAHIS to recommend it to HIS/RIS vendors, IHE-J to advertise it to users.

  8. JIRA DICOM committee activities 5) Contributing to DICOM Standards - supp124 ( display param ) - Handling of multi-byte characters - Hosting DICOM DSC in Japan 2009 spring.
