  2. Course Objectives • By the end of this course you will : • Understand what WYSIWYG means • Be able to create an Article in WYSIWYG view • using the placeholders • See the changes to the way that Media and • Meta Data is added • Be aware of new features

  3. The Content Management system has been upgraded • The general look and feel of the system is quite different • The URL is the samehttp://www.teignbridge.gov.uk/icm • Your Username and Password will remain the same There is a link to the full training manual at the end of this course

  4. On login you will see the Home Page as before listing your current tasks, personal shortcuts and recent used list • This Home Page can be accessed at anytime by using the Home button • The Panel and Work Areas are the same • The Articles and Libraries are accessed using the iCM Explorer Take a look

  6. Once an Article is displayedyou will see the changes. The view is now WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get)Text, Media and Links are inserted into the Placeholders

  7. Inserting TextAll you need to do is to click into the Placeholder and type!

  8. Use the Toolbar at the top of the page to format text and insert Inline Content

  9. Inserting Media/Related Articles/LinksClick into the relevant Placeholder

  10. Add/Selectthe Media/Related Article/Link from the Library folder (or create it) in the same way as before Click on Refresh on the Toolbar

  11. Adding Meta DataClick on the drop down arrow in Section on the toolbar to display options Click on Related Meta Data

  12. Add the Meta Data from the Library folder (or create it) in the same way as before Click on Refresh on the Toolbar

  13. Useful New Features There are new features within this version such as: • Multi article select, edit, move and deletes • Bulk upload of media (via media library) • Save Work in Progress and carry on working • Suggest Media - compare article text and suggests media which maybe appropriate • View thumbnails of all images within a media folder Check out the training manual for full details!
