GSM/GPRS/SMS based services • Mobile OnAir • enables passengers to use their own mobile phone or Smartphone (e.g. BlackBerry) during flights to • Access email (incl. attachments) & the Internet • Send & receive text & multimedia messages • Be reachable on their usual phone number • Make and receive phone calls • All the passenger needs is a GSM international roaming subscription & OnAir roaming agreement with MNO • Onboard communications are automatically invoiced by the passenger’s home mobile operator, as part of the usual bill. • System can be switched to quiet mode or off
