  5. What to Say? Types of Extension • New Line of Argument • In-depth Analysis • Focused Case Study

  6. What is new Line of argument • A new reason to explain why particular claim is correct. This new reason is independent from other reasons .

  7. What is deeper analysis? • More comprehensive understanding of the argument discussed. • Like onion-peeling, figure out the reason behind each arguments made.

  8. What is focused case study? • ---- Focus on one typical example and offer detailed analysis of it

  9. How to say it? Criteria of good extension speech 1. New argument / analysis 2. Loyalty 3. Distinction
