Try - Presentation • Using the information gathered on your ‘Successful Speeches, Effective Speakers’ sheet: IN YOUR GROUPS Design one A3 poster, choosing the information you think is the most important and presenting it in a clear, colourful way. You must all decide who will present which part – everyone must have a part to say!

  8. Success Criteria Comment on: • Persuasive techniques that are effective • The effect that they create (why they are used) • What makes an effective speaker (top tips?) • Examples from studied texts to support your ideas.

  9. Apply – Present your Work Now it is time for you to talk about talk. You need to tell us: • What devices/techniques you think a speech needs to have in it in order to be successful and persuasive. • What an effective speaker must do when presenting a speech (perhaps you could give a list of ‘top tips’) • Some examples using the speech you have seen ( this is your evidence that you can explain to support you ideas)
