Education And Training • High school education • Some may require a bachelor's degree or higher • You have to go through a training program that tests your physical and mental capability • You have to be 21 years old • You also have to pass a written exam
Other Qualifications • You will have to pass a drug test • You will go through a series of interviews • You must be a U.S. citizen • If you go on to get a higher up position, you will need to have more education that just high school • If you want to go to the FBI you will need three years of being a state police officer
Job Outlook/Future Prospects • Employment is expected to grow 7% between 2010 and 2020, this is slower than most other occupations • There is always going to be a need for state police officers • Most departments have a high turnover rate • The government determines that amount of jobs within the state police • Most state and federal jobs are competitive

Education and Training • Need a high school diploma or GED • Need a CDL license • Class B license for dump trucks and class A license for tractor trailers • Must have 2 years experience • Must pass a Physical from a doctor
Other Qualifacations • Need good hearing • No medical conditions • Must pass a vision test • Some truck drivers need the HAZMAT certification • If you get caught with a blood alcohol leave that is higher than .02 at any time while drive in you truck or regular vehicle, your CDL license will be taken away
Job Outlook/Future Prospect • The demand for goods will increase, and more truck drivers will be needed to keep supply moving. • Trucks transport most of the freight in the United States, • As households and businesses increase their spending, the trucking industry will grow. • (GPS) technology and better routing can make trucks more productive, limiting the need for more drivers. • Fuel prices will rise, some companies may switch their shipping to rail to lower costs.
