Notes • Numbers obtained from WSDA Youth Shows and Fair Reports (2004 and 2007) • Only represent youth shows that file report • Only represents animals exhibited at the show/fair— • Does not include “no shows” • Does not include “extra” market animals being raised as pen mates that are not exhibited. • Does not include breeding/market animals are that youth may be raising that are not exhibited • ***Therefore, actual food animals that are raised by youth in Washington is probably significantly higher than these numbers indicate.
