Information: • An interview is a conversation between two or more people where questions are asked by the interviewer to elicit facts or statements from the interviewer. Although interviews are a standard part of journalism and media reporting, the focus of this piece is on how interviews can be used as a tool for psychological research. • The Interview is the third and final stage of the ISE examinations. The examiner visits the student´s place of learning or centre on a date arranged either by the national consultant for the country or with Head Office in London.
Your Interviews should take place with in 6 weeks of your controlled written examination there fore you should plan with both of these events in mind. • The Examiner first marks the portfolios in batches (see centre handbook for details) and then interviews the students one to one.
During the conversation phase of the Interview questions will be asked about the portfolio. • Centre MUST prepare a timetable for the Examiner which includes time for marking the portfolios. (See centre handbook for details) • You must prepare a Spoken Examination timetable for the examiner to use on the day of your oral examinations. If there is no timetable, the examiner has the right to demand one from you and stop the exam session until one is available.
