  3. Road to Emmaus: Road of Doubt • Present expectations had not materialized, Luke 24:21, 25, 27 • We can quickly doubt and lose faith, Heb. 6:9-12 (4:11); Rev. 14:12 • Persistent prayer, Lk. 18:1 • Patient faith, Jas. 5:7-9 • Trust God, 1 Jno. 5:15; 3:22 • Do not become weary, Gal. 6:9

  4. Road to Emmaus: Road of Doubt • Still held Jesus to be a Prophet of God, Luke 24:19 • Mighty deeds and words • Death dashed Messianic hopes (20-21) • Do not have a halfhearted faith in Jesus, Jno. 8:58; 5:17; 10:30 • No middle ground!
