  2. About: Born August 1st, 1964 Born in Maryland. Lived in San Francisco when he got his break. Front man of The Counting Crows Wears a lot of hats: musician/songwriter (obviously), record producer, and film producer. Known for his dreadlocks. On them, he stated: “I spent my life looking in the mirror and thinking, I don't get it - that's not me. The first time I got dreads, I caught my reflection in a window. and it was the first time that I saw me. It was like the first time I wrote a song.”

  3. About, Pt. 2: = ? + Has a disorder called Depersonalization Disorder. In short, it makes him feel as if the world isn’t real. This disorder is what has been the cause of great lengths between albums as well as his dark lyrics. Dated Jennifer Aniston. No one’s quite sure how that happened…

  4. Band History: Worked with several bands in the Bay area in the late ’80’s and early ‘90’s, one of which was the Himalaya’s. He was also working on a side project at the time called The Counting Crows. It was with The Counting Crows in 1993 that he got his big break.

  5. Style The Counting Crows is a difficult style to pin down, but if I had to I would say it’s a fusion of rock and blues with a folk twist. Adam Duritz plays the piano and is the lead vocalist in the band, but the band consists of large array of instruments. Depending on the song, you can hear any of the following: guitar, accordion, keyboard, banjo, mandolin, drums, and bass. Overall there are 7 members in the band.
