  1. Suture Kit for Medical Students We have long been aware of the need and desire of many residents and primary care physicians to improve their suture technique. There are many reasons why most physicians wish to improve their skills in suturing, paramount among them is soothe in the knowledge that you as a physician have performed as highly skilled a job as possible for your patient. As your suturing skills improve, your confidence will too, especially as you deal with more increasingly complex wounds. By improving your suturing skills you increase your effectual speed of suturing so that when time constraints are a factor in your care of your patients, you will be talented to more efficiently treat the wound while dealing with other emergent matters. The techniques featured in this instruction have been derived from years of medical knowledge, research and from plastic surgical teachings. The program features detailed close-ups of actual suturing, as well as detailed table-top demonstrations of Suturing Techniques. Welcome and congratulations on your decision to learn how to suture! All of the lessons are taught by a trauma physician assistant working in a busy. This free video e-course is a set of 10 videos and was shot unscripted in one afternoon. We tried to include as much information as possible, while still maintaining a fun and simple to understand format and language. Nothing too scientific but a basic idea of human anatomy is helpful. We will learn various techniques, knots, and applications for each type of closure. By the time you finish this course, you will have a good understanding of how to efficiently close any minor laceration. Before you begin the course, you should begin to gather and prepare your tools. You will need a suture kit, and some medium sized suture. If you don’t have a pig's foot obtainable, you can certainly use bananas, or some other cut of meat. Make sure you work in a clean well lit area so you can stay organized.
