Recommended 2010 Election Structure MCN Primary Staff Positions Support Staff Positions Annually Elected Positions • Elder Positions • Christian Life • Discipleship (Sunday School & Small Groups) • Senior Ministries • Young Adult & Family Ministries • Missions Deacon Positions 7 Deacon positions to be elected out of a pool of nominees. Exception for 2010/2011 election: The Finance Committee Chair will be voted on separately in the ballot to allow for a Y/N vote. • Notes: • All 5 Elder Positions are elected Individually from their own pool of nominees for each elder role • 7 Deacon positions are elected out of a pool of nominees and assigned roles after the election • Elected Deacon positions that require careful assignment can be managed by exception (Y/N vote) • A definition of Elder versus Deacon Responsibilities should be represented on the ballot summary overview • Each elder position can be presented with a brief description of the position and the list of nominees

Next Steps • Obtain District Advisory Board Approval in January • Prepare 2010 / 2011 Elections to Align with New Model • Set Date for 2010 / 2011 Elections 1/12/2010 • Confirm Board Member Nominees 1/12/2010 • Establish a Nominating Committee 1/12/2010 • Nominating Committee to gather Candidates for Elder and Deacon Board Positions (Gathering and Vetting Process) • Solidify Nominee Confirmations from Candidates • Educate MCN Membership on new Organizational Structure • Present Job Descriptions via paper and website mediums • Gather updated Pictures of all Nominees • Print out Elder and Deacon Ballots • Hold the 2010 / 2011 Church Elections
