  2. Vision • To profitably extract valuable materials from end-of-life computers, monitors, and TVs • Reduce landfilled electronics waste - National Safety Council estimates over 315 million computers will be obsolete by 2004 adding 8.5 million tons of waste. - Hazardous to water and air quality

  3. Services • Provide computer and monitor recycling services to environmentally conscious consumers and businesses in King and Snohomish Counties

  4. Marketing Environment • 33 million computers became obsolete in 2000 • Computer sales increased by more than 23 percent per year since 1985 • In King County alone, 335,000 computers are expected to become obsolete by 2005

  5. Projected Sales & Market Share • Estimated we could obtain 11,300 CPUs and 22,600 CRTs per year • Projected revenue • from recycling fees $280,000 • from recovered materials $43,000

Products & Services • Pick up service to retrieve used computers, monitors, and TVs at permanent collection sites • Secure destruction service for unusable hard drives and other information storage systems • Crush and grind up components in an environmentally friendly way • Separate metals from glass in CRTs for reprocessing into raw materials
