  26. Control Features New or Enhanced in 2009

  27. New Control Features Cascade Firing of Multiple Boilers • Control up to16 Boilers in One System • No Extra Controls Required, Only 1 System Sensor • Automatic Rotation of Boilers (Lead/Lag) • No Extensive Programming Required - Most Options Are Pre-Selected, But Adjustable • Boilers will be Fired Proportionally with Timed Start and Stop for Maximum Efficiency & Longevity • All PureFire™ Boilers will be Cascade Capable - After the Release of the new PF-210 & PF-399 - Existing PF Boilers Can Be Easily Upgraded • New Controls will be Compatible with Older Displays & Vice Versa

  28. Cascade Functions with Multiple Boilers • The Control on Any Boiler can be the Master Control • Simple Instructions Explain How to Designate the Master Control and All Dependent Controls • All Sensors and Non-Boiler Pumps are Wired to the Master • Control & Status of All Boilers Including Resets can be Done Through Master • Each Dependent Boiler Controls Only Its Own Pump • Boiler Controls are Interconnected in Parallel with only 1 Set of Thermostat Wires Between Each Boiler • Future PC Connections can be made to Any Dependent Control

  39. Low Voltage Wiring

  40. Line Voltage Wiring

  41. Wiring for PF-210 & PF-399

  42. Line Voltage Wiring – High Amp Circ Pumps • PureFire main control has a max amp draw of 5 amps including gas valve & other internal loads. • Total amp draw of all operating Circulators must be less than about 4.5 amps. • For example the General Circulator + the CH Circulator or the DHW circulator must be less than 4.5 amps. • If the circulator amp draw is higher than 4.5 amps, it must be isolated using a relay. • A RIB2401B relay may be used for circulator motors up to 1 horsepower. • The wiring schematic below shows how to wire isolation relays to the circulators.

  43. Accessories System Pipe SensorTo Aid in System Mixing For Multiple Boiler Systems DHW SensorFor Optional Control of Indirect Water Heater - Control Tank Temp From Boiler

  44. Accessories Stainless Steel TableAdjustable Legs Wall Mounting Bracket Now Included with BoilerFor All Four Sizes:50, 80, 110, 140

  45. Simple Fuel Conversion - LP & NG • Conversion Kit Included with Every Boiler • No Orifices to Install or Remove • Spelled Out in the Conversion Kit: • Adjust Throttle Screw WITH CO/CO2 Meter

  46. TESTING EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED • Electronic CO/CO2 Combustion Analyzers are CRITICAL for Maintaining Safe & Efficient Operation of ANY 90+ Efficiency Equipment • Allowable Carbon Monoxide (CO) emission levels in Pinnacle flue gases: Hi-Fire <100 ppm Lo-Fire < 20 ppm

  47. All PureFire Boilers are Thoroughly Tested At the Factory Factory Test Record Sheet Is Included with IOM Manual
