  1. Flavored Gourmet Popcorn in London Who doesn’t like flavored gourmet popcorn? I can’t think of anyone I know who doesn’t like a little bit of it from time to time. Used to be that there was only plain popcorn with butter and salt on it. Then came caramel corn and cheese corn. Now you have a whole variety of flavors! Types of Flavors Popcorn comes with so many flavors of toppings today that it is hard to name all of them. Some of the flavors I have found are: Cheddar in both yellow and white varieties. Butter Caramel like the caramel corn we grew up with. Caramel drizzled with Chocolate. Chocolate drizzled. White chocolate drizzled. Cinnamon Gingerbread Georgia pecan type flavor. Toffee Ginger Teriyaki flavor even. These are just a few of the flavors that you can discover. There are many more to be found and explored. It just depends on where you go to shop. What Kind of Popcorn is used? There are 2 different types of popcorn. The butterfly popcorn is what we usually pop at home or in the movie theaters. It is fluffy, large, and a bit spread out. It holds salt and other types of seasonings good. But it is not good for heavy coatings like in the gourmet popcorn. Of course this kind can be used for the lighter flavorings.

  2. Gourmet popcorn usually uses the other shape of popcorn which is called mushroom. It is more rounded and compact than the butterfly. The mushroom one is great for the different coatings and flavorings that are put on with gourmet popping corn. It will stand up under the weight of it. Differences in Quality You can find regular commercially done gourmet popcorn even in the local stores. But there are many specialty stores and places online that have very unique flavors and a higher quality popcorn. The taste experience with these specialties is unsurpassed and well worth spending a bit more on. You can even find it in kosher varieties. How People Enjoy this Popcorn People love to eat flavored gourmet popcorn while watching TV a movie, or at parties. It is a social affair as much as a feast for flavors.
