  1. Coherent Market Insights Smoke evacuation systems are used to remove smoke from the surgical site Smoke Evacuation System (SES) is a high performance, fully automatic unit that is installed safely and consistently at over 5000 establishments throughout the United Kingdom. This unique system is an advance on the existing 'Activated Carbon Filter' method, which means that Carbon Monoxide (CO) can be vented directly outside of the building in which the filter is placed. The Carbon Monoxide is then collected by a second filter inside the smoke detector, which is then activated by the sensor to produce a detectable amount of smoke. Smoke from al fresco restaurants and other such commercial premises is filtered through the SES and dispensed as a clean, odorless gas. Smoke evacuation system uses two different types of methods for introducing smoke into the environment: the activated carbon filter and the vacuum stage. Both are very effective. Bovie (breathing) or suction feeding systems introduce smoke into the environment through a closed tube or suction tube. Bovie uses paper or a thin film of plastic to be inserted into the pipe and is more effective than the actual plastic that the system uses in the manufacturing process, as it does not break down. Suction feeding systems use tubing with a fine head to introduce the smoke into the air. Smoke evacuation systems are designed to provide continuous airtight sealing when in operation. Smoke-evacuation tube and suction-feeding tube systems require continuous air pressure to remain in working order and stop any leakage. The Smoke Evacuation System (SES) works with both hose and nozzle configurations. The surgical smoke evacuation system is designed to protect the surgical site from smoke inhalation while in surgery. It will protect the surgical site from particulates in the smoke plume. In most cases it will protect from particulate matter smaller than Coherent Market Insights
