  2. Dynamic RAM • Must be refreshed constantly by a refresh circuit or will lose it’s data • Slower than Static RAM • Still used more often than Static RAM due to the fact that it is inexpensive I’M A RAM LOL

  3. Static RAM • Faster than Dynamic RAM • More expensive than Dynamic RAM because the Static memory cells take up a lot more space on a chip • Because of the space that these cells take up, Static RAM gives you less memory per chip SKEET SKEET

  4. Cells • RAM is composed of many cells. • Cells are organized in rows and columns • Not like human cells • Used for memory • Composed of silicon chips • Each chip can be directly accessed at any time O RLY?

  5. What it’s used for • RAM is used for exactly what its name states, that is...Random Access Memory • Is a memory component inside of a computer • WTFPWNing noobs in CS

  6. How it works • Cells arranged in rows and columns • Store data on memory • Data is accessed from individual cells

  7. History of RAM • RAM was first made from vacuum tubes and failed frequently • Used to be much larger, and store less data 4 MB RAM from 1986 ¿Por que? You may ask, and to that I say: In order to know your future, you must know your past...and it was another slide.

  8. What we use it for • We store stuff on it...all night long • It’s in our computers, because if it wasn’t our computers would be terrible • It speeds up the processing rate of our computers • I need it to play WoW and not lag like a noob

How A Ram works • Food enters the mouth, is chewed up by the teeth, and enters the esophagus • The esophagus delivers food to the reticulo-rumen. • Functionally this is a single, large "fermentation chamber" containing micro-organisms which convert plant carbohydrate to volatile fatty acids • The excess is sent to the intestines • From the intestines, the excess is expelled through the anus.
