  1. Program Evaluations 2013-14 Cardinal Health Foundation’s Prescription Drug Abuse and Misuse Prevention Grant Program

  2. Expectations • One-on-one calls with evaluation team • Post-surveys for youth, adults, seniors, and university students • 90 day follow up • Additional opportunity: Focus groups to evaluate the new toolkits

  3. Evaluation • Over the next month Allison will be scheduling a time to do a one-on-one phone call with grantee to discuss evaluation plan for grant program • Will do a second follow up call around January to check in

  4. Post surveys • Following programming, program participants need to complete a post-test • 4 types • Youth (under 18) • Younger youth toolkit in development • Adult (19-59) • Senior (60 and older) • University student

Post surveys • Surveys available in English and Spanish • Can be completed via online through Qualtrics or you can complete with paper and pencil Sample Survey Link: https://cswosu.co1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_87dHnF0Ty2t8uyx • If Spanish surveys needed online, please inform CAYCI • Each site will be given their own web link to collect data • Sites may use paper surveys but need to return to OSU CAYCI within 2 weeks of event/program

Paper Post Surveys • Sites that collect paper surveys need to • Make copies of surveys and keep for records before mailing to OSU CAYCI • Surveys need to be returned within 2 weeks of events/programs • Grantees also need to return two excel spreadsheets, 1)“Grant Activity Report Text 2013-14” and 2) sheet with program participants’ email addresses

  7. 90 Day Post Evaluation • Looking to see how program participants have made change in thoughts, behaviors and actions 3 months after program • OSU will manage this piece entirely • Online data collection will capture emails automatically • Paper surveys need to be returned with email addresses for 90 day follow up

  8. Focus Groups • Hoping to answer questions around effectiveness of senior & university student toolkits • Looking for sites serving this population to allow OSU CAYCI to conduct 30 minute focus group following Generation Rx programming • Will discuss with sites as part of one-on-one evaluation calls
