ASPARTAME (APM) • It’sanorganicchemical compound with the molecular formula:C14H18O5N2, itbelongs to the group of peptideesters. • Occurrence: drinks without sugar, dietary dairy products, fruit juices without sugar, sugar-free desserts, the confectionery products, non-alcoholic beer, jams, marmalades, mustards, jellies, sauces, canned fish, breads, cereals. • Effectson the body: it can cause leukemia, diseases of the nervous system, lung cancer, breast cancer. It’snotrecommended for people with sensitive digestive tracts.

SACCHARIN • It’s an organic chemical compound with the molecular formula C7H5NO3S, imide acid, o-sulfobenzoic, used as anartificial sweetener. • Occurrence: drinks without sugar, dietary dairy products, fruit juices without sugar, sugar-free desserts, the confectionery products, non-alcoholic beer, jams, marmalades, mustards, jellies, sauces, canned fish, breads, cereals. • Effects on the body:itmay cause bladder cancer.

  5. STEVIA • Natural, healthy substitute of sugar and all artificial sweeteners. Studies have shown the beneficial effects of stevia in hypertension and diabetesdiseases. • We can purchase it in the form of tablets, concentrate, powder or dried.

  6. Xylitol • It’s a natural sweetener extracted from birch, an alternative to sugar. • It’srecommended for diabetics. • It does not cause tooth decay. • It’scompletelysafe.

Maltitol • The organic compound from the group of sugar alcohols, usedas a sweetener. • It’s extractedfrom natural grains. • Comparedto other sugar substitutesitis less caloric and minimizes the risk of caries. • It is a natural ingredient – doesn’tcontain artificial additives. • It doesnot change properties due to temperature, in contrast to artificial sweeteners such as aspartame or saccharin, can therefore be used as a sugar substitute in cooking or baking process. • It is safe for people with celiac disease or lactose intolerance.
