  2. Halloween Science BloodyPumpkin Materials: 1 pumpkin cut into a jack-o-lantern, 1 cup baking soda, vinegar, and 8 drops of red food coloring Procedure: Cut pumpkin into sad jack-o-lantern. Place 1 cup of baking soda inside jack-o-lantern. Add 8 drops of red food coloring to 2 cups of vinegar. Open lid on jack-o-lantern and pour blood (vinegar) into the cup of baking soda. Foaming red blood will pour out the mouth and nose as the chemicals react.

Halloween Science Gooey Gummy Polymer Ball Materials: 2-3 tablespoons of Elmer's Glue, 2-4 oz. twenty mule team borax dissolved in water (supersaturated), food coloring, paper cup, popsicle stick, paper towel Procedure: Squeeze 2-3 tbs. of Elmer’s Glue into a small paper cup. Add 2 drops of food coloring and stir with popsicle stick. Add 2-4 oz. of saturated borax solution one drop at a time and stir. Fold glue into borax until it forms a glue ball that is less gooey. Dry glue ball in paper towel mold into different shapes.

Halloween Science Gooey Oobleck Materials: 1/8 cup cornstarch, 2 oz. water, plastic bowl and spoon, green food coloring Procedure: Mix cornstarch and water in bowl with spoon Add enough blue and yellow food coloring to make green. Observe physical properties as you stir and play with your Oobleck. Is it a liquid or solid? Clean tarnished penny with Oobleck.

Halloween Science Magic MilkWheel Materials: milk, small paper or plastic plate, food coloring, Dawn dishwashing soap, straw Procedure Pour enough milk onto a small plate to cover the bottom of the plate. Add several drops of different color food coloring in the center of the pool of milk. Using a straw, drip one drop of dishwashing detergent onto the milk. Observe the colors swirl.
