  2. És cultivat per l'home. És comestible i es fa servir per medicines. El seu origen és de l'oest d'Àsia i Nord-est d'Àfrica. Floreix al Gener- Març.

  3. El fruit té una pell verda i quan s'obre a la tardor deixa sortir la llavor. Les flors poden ser blanques o roses. Les fulles tenen forma de llances.

  4. Pot fer més de 10 metres. Aquest arbre el trobem a: Alacant,Barcelona,Girona,Illes Balears,Tarragona,Lleida i València.
