  1. Adventures at the Program Centers

  2. Where are the Program Centers? The Program Centers are located in: Laguna Beach Anaheim Yorba Linda Seal Beach

  3. What About Newport Beach? As of July 2014, the Newport Beach Program Center has been torn down as part of a project by the city of Newport Beach to redo the entire block the Program Center was on. We expect the BRAND NEW Girl Scout Learning Center (GSLC) to be available sometime in 2016.

  4. What is a Program Center?A Program Center is a location for troops to have meetings, overnight events, bridging ceremonies and more. A lot of troops work on earning badges and completing Journeys while at the Program Center. Some just go just to have fun. What Should We Bring With Us?As a general rule, if you plan to use something during your stay, you should plan to bring it with you. This includes cooking and sleeping items as well as cleaning supplies and charcoal if you plan to use a BBQ. We do have toilet paper, paper towels, brooms, mops and trash bags. What is at a Program Center? Each Program Center has several tables and chairs, as well as a kitchen, stove, cleaning supplies, microwave, refrigerator, BBQ, bathroom, at least 1 shower. What is not at a Program Center?Since the needs of each troop are different, we are unable to provide eating and cooking supplies, pillows, sleeping bags, sleeping pads/mattresses, TVs, DVD/VHS players, radios

  5. Who Can Stay at a Program Center?Only Girl Scouts members are allowed to stay/visit the Program Centers. If you are going to have non-Girl Scout members at your event/overnight you will need Plan 2 Insurance. To purchase this, please contact Renee Green at rgreen@girlscoutsoc.org or 949-461-8801. Plan 2 insurance starts at $5 per event. Can Dads/Men Stay at a Program Center?Yes, dads/men can stay at/visit the Program Centers. If they are going to spend the night, they will need to sleep outside in a tent or in a different room. If they are not members, Plan 2 insurance will need to be purchased for them. What are the Check-in and Check-out times?Check-in and check-out times are at 12 noon unless otherwise arranged whenmaking your reservation. How Much Does it Cost? All of the Program Centers are free for any event that lasts less than 5 hours. The non-beach locations cost $90 for an event that last 5+ hours, or$90 a night for an overnight event. The beach locations are $100 for an event that last 5+ ours, or $100 a night for an overnight event.
