For economists, graphs are useful and

elegant tools for depicting information.

For many students, graphs are just a

bunch of lines that cross at random places.

An alternative approach:

  • Arts-Based Learning
    • the incorporation of artistic expression into pedagogies for learning other disciplines

It is becoming increasingly popular in

      • business schools
      • corporations
  • as a way to develop /foster skills for
      • communication
      • creative thinking
      • and leadership.

artistic representations of graphs

we’ve worked with this semester.

Your task is to:

Explain which elements of the artistic representation led you

to your answer

Identify the

type of graph shown

Students create their own artistic version of the graph they find the most challenging.
