  2. Nowadays children like playing computer games more than board games. Video games can be good for children if they do not play violent games and do not play more than one hour a day. Some games might improve hand-eye coordination and problem solving skills. There are some more benefits:games can enhance memory, improve attention and concentration, they can be a great source of learning, they enhance multitasking skills and improve social skills. We found some climate based online computer games and played them during computer science lessons.

  3. RECYCLE THIS!Players learn about the importance of recylcing. In the game they must put different trash items into recycle bins: cereal boxes, aluminum cans, glass bottles, plastic bottles,... - Making a ton of new paper from recycled paper saves up to 17 trees and uses 50 percent less water than does creating new paper from trees. - The energy saved by recycling one glass bottle can run a computer for 30 minutes.

  4. PLAY LEAPS AND FLUTTERS Your actions (in the game) either help or hurt the Earth.The game helps children become aware of the fact that lots of animal and plant species are endangered and that we must change our everyday habits in order to save them.The game emphasises that frogs and other amphibians are the most endengered groups of animals on Earth.Butterflies are also in trouble because of climate changes.

CLIMATE TIME MACHINEPlayers can go backward and forward in time and see how Earth’s climate changes Playeers travel back into the past and ahead to a possible future.They can see: - How much Arctic sea ice has melted just since satellites startedobserving around 30 years ago? - What parts of the world will be under water as sea level rises,inch by inch, foot by foot? - How much has the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide increased inthe air just in the last few years? - How much has temperature risen around the world in just alittle over 100 years?

  7. GO GREEN In this game, you see a map of a city, with a grid of streets, and various buildings. For each turn, you are given a list of things to do. Each part of your mission will take you to a different location. Your job is to decide what mode of transportation you will use to get from one place to another. Try to pick the form of transportation that will have the least impact on the environment, while getting you where you need to go, and on time.
