  8. Questions to Ask • What kind of problems do you like to solve? • What kind of questions do you most like to help people find answers to? • What knowledge of yours do you most like to display, to other people?

  9. Questions to Ask • What are your favorite hobbies or interests? • What are your favorite words, that you most like to be tossing around, all day? • What’s your definition of a “fascinating stranger?”

Questions to Ask • What newspaper or magazine articles do you most like to read? • What Internet sites do you most often gravitate to? • If you watch TV, and it’s a game show, what categories do you hope the contestant will pick? • If you could write a book, and it wasn’t about your own life or somebody else’s, what would be the subject of the book?

Questions to Ask- HC focus • What inspires you to go into healthcare? • What answers do you expect/anticipate? • How does this help? • A calling, a purpose to fulfill • How will you handle the education, training and career development? • Staying focused • Knowing the path ahead • Are your skills and strengths a fit for a healthcare career? • A few common skills and personality traits that are important • Interpersonal, communication, work ethic, passion for learning new things

  12. One Question if All Else Fails • If you could do whatever you wanted all day long every day, what would that one thing be? • Or • What will people pay you to do that you are good at?

  13. What is Success? What does success look like? Nice House? Fancy Car? Family? Travel?

  15. How do you become successful? • Teams of 4-6 people • Grab two pieces of paper and marker • Work with you team to come up with some ideas of how you will be successful

Figure out what is important to you- as a team, come up with a few answers for each of these: • Interests- what do you like? • Non-interests- what don’t you like? • Values- what is important to you? • Talents and Skills – what are you good at? • What kind of people you like to hang out with? Your “Passions”

  17. Find your “Passion” in yourJob Choice – Yes “Choice” Match your interests and strengths (your passions)… …to jobs that are in demand and pay a good wage- let’s check out some of those jobs.
