  2. Assessment Requirements

  3. Graduation Requirements, Class of 2015 • Successful completion of a minimum of twenty-three credits. • Successful completion of courses required by state statute, those required by State Board of Education Rules and Regulations and those required by the Board of Directors of the Kent School District. • Successful completion of a culminating project • Successful establishment of a high school + educational plan (13th year) • Demonstration of proficiency on the reading, writing, math, and science standards on the required high school statewide assessment or an appropriate alternative assessment.

  4. Washington State History Through the Class of 2015, students must complete a course in Washington State History. • Any student who transfers from another state having already studied that state’s history will not be required to complete Washington State History.

  5. Washington State History • A student may complete Washington State History in 7th or 8th grade to meet the requirement but will not receive the .5 high school credit. • Alternative learning experiences to meet the .5 credit requirement of Washington State History are provided for students who need to meet this requirement.

  6. EOC Exam Dates END-OF-COURSE EXAMS • Jan 5– Feb 6: EOC testing window for Math and Biology • Last 3 weeks of school: EOC testing window for Math and Biology

  7. HIGH SCHOOL PROFICIENCY EXAMS • Mar 17–19: HSPE retake (for 11th or 12th graders who have not yet met standard) • Date TBD: HSPE retake registration window • Date TBD: HSPE retake (for 11th and 12th graders who have not yet met standard)

  8. Collection of Evidence • Jan 28: Deadline to submit Reading, Writing, Biology and Math COEs • Apr 29: Deadline to submit Reading, Writing, Biology and Math COEs (for 12th graders only) • June 10: Deadline to submit Reading, Writing, Biology and Math COEs

  9. AP Testing Window • May 4–8: AP testing window 1 • May 11–15: AP testing window 2

  10. SCORE REPORTS SENT TO DISTRICTS • HSPE: May (grade 12) • EOC: Winter test: Apr; Spring test: Sept COE: Jan submission: Mar 25; Apr submission: May 29; June submission: July 24 (Reading and Writing), Aug 14 (Math and Biology)

  11. Plan of Assistance • Collection of Evidence • EOC Boot Camp • SAT/ACT (All seniors taking SAT at KW on Oct 15) • Take EOC and HSPE
