Remote Sensing and Synthetic Aperture Radar Soil Moisture Ocean Salinity (SMOS) Prototype & Operational Processor Array developed the Level 2 Soil Moisture (SM) prototype and received a follow-on contract to develop components of the Level 2 operational processor. SMOS is scheduled for launch in mid-2008.
