  2. King Fahd Hospital • There are several hospitals in Jeddah. One of them is King Fahd Hospital. It is a general hospital and it was built in 1980. At that time, it had 226 beds for in-patients. Later, the number grew to 500. The hospital has 25 clinics. About 190 male doctors and 25 female doctors work there. There are 3 male nurses and 321 female nurses. Between 30 and 40 out-patients are seen every day. The average stay for in-patients is 10 to 12 days.
