  2. Temel Organik Besin Maddelerinin Araştırılması: • Herhangi bir besinin karbonhidrat mı ? , protein mi ? , yağ mı ? olduğunu belirli ayraç çözeltilerini kullanarak ayırt edebiliriz. Bu ayıraç çözeltileri; iyot çözeltisi , benedict çözeltisi , birüet çözeltisi..

Nişasta tayini; iyot çözeltisi ile • Karbonhidrat tayini; benedict ile • Protein tayini; biüret ile gerçekleşir. • Yağ tayini ise ; besin katı ise kağıdın üzerine sürülüp, sıvı ise üzerine damlatılıp kurumaya bırakılır. Daha sonra kağıt ışığa tutulur. Yarı saydam bir sıvı oluşuyor ise yağın varlığı kabul edilir.
